Volunteer with the Durango Discovery Museum

The Durango Discovery Museum is a volunteer driven community project. Volunteers with passion and enthusiasm are welcome! As we approach opening day in 2010, we are looking for volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors and to assist with these projects:

• Energy industry partnerships
• Durango tourism/hotel partnerships
• National Historic Landmark designation
• Exhibit development, fabrication, and maintenance
• Equipment refurbishing and display
• Grant research and writing
• Fundraising: business sponsorship
• Fundraising: individual benefactors
• Fundraising: events
• Fundraising: community
• Fundraising: Riverfront Plaza
• Fundraising: sustainable future addition
• Develop educational relationships
• Exhibit and workshop planning
• Education outreach
• Museum operations planning
• Accounting
